Orphaned references in Marry Me (2022 film)

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Marry Me (2022 film)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "opening":

  • From Blacklight (film): D'Alessandro, Anthony (February 12, 2022). "'Death On The Nile' Charting $12.7M, 'Marry Me' $8M In Valentine's Day Weekend Where Hollywood Pines For Female Auds – Saturday Box Office". Deadline Hollywood. Retrieved February 12, 2022.
  • From Death on the Nile (2022 film): D'Alessandro, Anthony (February 12, 2022). "Death On The Nile Charting $12.7M, Marry Me $8M In Valentine's Day Weekend Where Hollywood Pines For Female Auds – Saturday Box Office". Deadline Hollywood. Retrieved February 12, 2022.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 20:52, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The movie did not underperform at the boxoffice. It doubled its budget

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. 💜  melecie  talk - 08:27, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As I said it doubled its budget while it was realised on a streaming platform (we were also in a pandemic time) where it did very well There are movies in Wikipedia that made less than double the budget and are considered boxoffice successes Please don’t be an hater I'm asking you politely to remove the part where it says that it underperformed at the boxoffice It puts Jlo in a bad light and she doesn't deserve this

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 10:25, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

These are the sources the prove that Marry Me did not underperform at the boxoffice:

www.filmik.com Is Marry Me Hit or Flop? Unexpected Box Office Result Of 'Marry Me

www.joblo.com Marry Me is the most streamed day and date movie on Peacock

Not done: I can't access the filmik source. But according to the joblo source, it did underperform at the box office, and only became successful when it started streaming on Peacock. SSSB (talk) 12:04, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me I made a request with the sources you asked but nobody has answered me Could someone answering me please?

Please be patient. It takes time for edit requests to be awnsered and creating edit requests of this ilk. ("Please respond to my other edit request") can be considered as disruptive editing. Please don't do it. SSSB (talk) 12:00, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if i'm insisting but on www.joblo.com at one point it says "To date, Marry Me has grossed 21.4 million domestically and 47 million worldwide (now 50 million), turning it into quiet a success" Then what is your problem entering www.filmik.com

Partly done: Removed word underperformed in a copyedit, as cited source didn't say that. WikiVirusC(talk) 15:48, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are obsessive about this and do not seem to realise that box office takings are a small factor when it comes to a movies success.
Example: the new star wars trilogy made literally billions but has under performed. the merchandise failed, the theme park failed, the cast has not been retained, the audience internet in further movies is nil and spins offs have all failed. 122.61.234.210 (talk) 06:01, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there the word "underperformed" again? I gave you the sources and you said that you removed that

Fixed. The content was accidentally reverted by another editor while trying to fix a flurry of non-constructive edits on the page. Aidan9382 (talk) 13:48, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
