Teen Statement
[edit]I have removed the following unsourced comments:
Martensville is looked upon by local teens as a boring place. One teen has been quoted as saying Martensville's greatest achievement was their A&W.
This comes off sounding awfully POV without supporting citation. If someone can find a newspaper or magazine article to support these statements, please feel free to put it back. As it stands now it doesn't qualify for NPOV. 23skidoo 18:16, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
i was in martesnville once... i will never go there again
Growth Rate
[edit]"It is the fastest growing town in Saskatchewan, with the population growing 25% between 1996 and 2001." According to StatCan Osler, SK had a growth rate of 33.2% from 1996-2001. [[1]]
Chrome Dome
[edit]I live in matensville and even though it's called the "Chrome Dome" I personally never knew that untill I read the Wiki on Martensville. I have always known of it as "The Arena" so I added that to the back.

I believe most teenagers and adults alike refer to the Chrome Dome as actually being the ball diamond on the east side of the parking lot near the arena. This is due to the overhang on the backstop. The arena hasn't been reffered to as the Chrome Dome as far as I know, so i edited that it. - Bret Waldner
Reverted to previous edit
[edit]I reverted this article to the previous edit because it seemed generally accepted and the newer edit has no sources. Normally, I wouldn't worry about it, but it is something that could be found offensive.--BretWaldner 03:48, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Population Contradiction
[edit]The infobox says the population in 2006 was 4968. but the article says 5,100. So which is it? 23skidoo (talk) 20:22, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Spelling Corrections
[edit]ya buddy, learn how to spell Martensville, not matensville
City status
[edit]I don't think it's proper to say that Martensville is a city as of the present date. Even though it's going to become one in November 2009, the article should reflect its current status in order to be truthful. --Drm310 (talk) 19:29, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Education
[edit]The education in Martensville is the same as the rest of Saskatchewan. In fact, all the info in the Education section is useless. It's simply describing the schools and that they have a government fund for porta-classes.
I need a rebuttal withing 30 days or I am removing the section. Acid 1 (talk) 04:13, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
New points of interest
[edit]i live in martensville and I just want to say that you should put up that it is getting A Tim Hortons*. If you need additional proof and are withholding until hence, that is fine.
I also have two completely unconfirmed rumors of martensville getting a Dairy Queen*, and a Walmart*. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.72.16.227 (talk) 07:31, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
And the fact about tim Hortons is true as it is being built as of right now. The walls and such are already up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.72.16.227 (talk) 07:35, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
Distance between cities
[edit]Article states the distance between Martensville and Saskatoon is the closest between two chartered cities; I think you'll find the distance between Martensville and Warman is less. 68.146.70.124 (talk) 15:29, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
