[edit]Purpose: To provide reason to edit this web page.
What?: The article relating to K. Mayathevar in the DMK political stub contains serious error that disturbs the peaceful co-existence of his two families, needs to be edited with the help of Wikipedia authorities.
Why?: The original publication of the Wikipedia page in the year 2009 contained only the political career of K. Mayathevar, later in 2011 someone has included his family details (the last paragraph of the article) without knowing the details and caused serious mistake that would misguide public and also create unwanted problems in the family.
Reason: Mayathevar is bigamous, married two wives. He led a successful married life with his first wife (Late) Kamala Mayathevar for more than 47 years (1961 – 2008) and borne three children namely Muthuvel aged 50 (the eldest son of K Mayathevar) lawyer by profession, Mahalakshmi aged 43, teacher by profession and Sakthivel aged 40, IT Professional. These people are socially, morally and legally affected and suffering mental agony and enormous stress from the defame publication of the family information about K Mayathevar. It’s worth mentioning that there are no antagonistic relationships between the two families for more than 44 years.
Being the eldest son in the family Muthuvel marriage was solemnized under the leadership of Dr. M. Karunanidi, leader of DMK (Dravida Munetra Kazagum and five times Chief Minister of Tamilnadu) in 1988 (25 years back on 17 Jan 1988). This marriage function had been published in the DMK official newspaper, Murasoli and other important newspapers of the Tamilnadu state on 18 Jan 1988.
It is also not an exaggeration that many Indian citizens (including politicians) had been leading a bigamous status without intervention of law and with the consent of the married wives for ages that contravenes the provisions of Indian Marriage and Family Enactments.
Hence for the interest of providing trusted information to the world renowned encyclopedia, deleting the last paragraph (family details) of the said Wikipedia article may be appreciated.
