Fair use rationale for Image:Meadhslogo sm.jpg

[edit]

Image:Meadhslogo sm.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Requested move

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page moved. If other Mead High School articles are created, this one can be qualified appropriately if it is then no longer primary, but the "Senior" part was not the correct way to qualify it, and it doesn't need to be qualified before the other articles are created in any event. I will create the disambiguation page for the other mentions. -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:12, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mead Senior High SchoolMead High School – "Senior" is not part of the school name. See school website. Admin must move over redirect. •••Life of Riley (TC) 01:41, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Silver medal?

[edit]

The article contained an assertion that "Mead was the recent recipient of the U.S. News & World Report's Silver Medal as one of the strongest high schools in America." No year was given and the relevant citation redirected to this page which provides no verification for the assertion. In fact, it states "Medal awarded: NONE" and "National rank: UNRANKED". There is a lesson to be learned here about using variable or short-term URLs as references in Wikipedia. I deleted the assertion. It can be reinstated if/when a specific year is nominated and a valid reference found. Cheers, Bjenks (talk) 10:34, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
