Mel Bay

[edit]

Shouldn't there be an article about Mel himself? It seems to me that Mel should be the topic and the publishing house a subsection of his article. Thoughts?? Joe407 (talk) 08:38, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And shouldn't it be original writing, not yanked wholesale from a book? What's here is directly copied from Mel Bay's own publications.PacificBoy 20:46, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't know that. Let me see what I can do. Joe407 (talk) 05:52, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

sources

[edit]

Here are a few sources I used. I don't have time to put in proper citations. Maybe later.

There should also be a bit on Mel Bay Records. Joe407 (talk) 07:01, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately none of these links are active anymore. GrimmC (talk) 17:42, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

what about Ukulele?

[edit]

Hello,

I recently found "Mel Bay's Hawaiian Uke Songbook" for ukulele. by Ken Eidson and Ross Cherednik It was published by 'Mel Bay Publications' Pacific, MO 63069 At the backside you can find just more sheet music for ukulele; maybe edited about 1975 I guess

DeSoto

[edit]

It says he moved to St.Louis. This leaves out a lot of the story. He moved to De Soto, Mo, and went to school there for years. This is a MAJOR part of his childhood, it shouldn't be left out.

Biography

[edit]

There is a print biography available for those interested, find it here:
