Excess detail

[edit]

I thought this was a general encyclopedia entry. Do we really need to know where all the hot axle box detectors and wheel impact load detectors are? Britmax (talk) 10:48, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Everything in Wikipedia should be significant and noteworthy; it's not a dump for mindless detail. (Unfortunately, railway articles seem to be prone to this problem.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.102.113.172 (talk) 10:15, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Midland Main Line Upgrade

[edit]

Although it is only in my Draft stage at the moment, I thought it was actually worth its own page so I have started the article. It is not just about electrification but also about upgrades in general. It may not get approved of course But there will be plenty of detail, history and references to pull it all together for an encyclopedic article. GRALISTAIR (talk) 21:22, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
