Unencyclopedic material

[edit]

This article seriously needs expansion, but unfortunately, a lot of the text looked more like Wikitravel. If anybody can salve some of this material about the festivals or similar, feel free to do so, but in this particular case, I believe it was better to cut away everything "odd" the first time. Censal areas

[edit]

The following additional areas had been added to the population given for the censal area of Minas: Minas: 38,446, + Blanes Viale: 104 + Barrio La Coronilla - Ancap: 301, + San Francisco de las Sierras: 58 and the result given was a total of: 38.909. For such a thing to be stated in the article, the text has to explain this addition and a reference given as to how come and these other censal areas are counted into the same sum. I added the information, with a citation needed template, but I am wondering whether there might be a "Minas municipality" which includes the city of Minas, like it happens with many cities and towns of the Canelones Department, where population estimates by the Intendencia differ because they refer to the municipios of the same name. I find no mention of municipios in the official Lavalleja Department site, however. Hoverfish Talk 14:19, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
