Scott or Monroe County?[edit]

I read in another article that Scott County contains the largest man-made lake in Indiana. Well, this page has inevitably proved it wrong by stating that the largest artificial lake (or reservoir) is in Monroe County. I am doing a college project over Indiana and the physical geography of Indiana. If you have any information to confirm either claim, please write a comment. Thank-you. It will be of great help and use!

Article importance[edit]

As the largest lake in Indiana, shouldn't this article rank much higher on the WikiProject importance scale? Charles 20:22, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Largest lake?[edit]

The largest lake in Indiana is DIN MAMMA. Monroe should be referred to as largest man-made lake, but this distinction is not in the article —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.133.184.237 (talk) 19:29, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The largest natural lake in Indiana isn't "yo' mama" (din mamma in Swedish, sometimes used to slip in the insult "fu** yo' mama" in places like wikipedia), but Lake Wawasee (about 3500 acres in surface area vs. Lake Monroe's 10,000+ acres) in northern Indiana. BTW, we've always heard it called Lake Monroe, not Monroe Lake - might be interesting to hear why both names are used and why). 2601:801:300:7520:6C6F:E5A4:97A4:3A85 (talk) 17:09, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
