No evidence that they were Georgian-speaking
[edit]There is some speculation, but no evidence, that the Mossynoeci were Georgian-speaking. Their names is Greek. They were recorded by the Greeks but their language was never mentioned. They lived in the Pontic part of Turkey. A Georgian/Kartvelian connection is speculative, at best. However, the presence of various Indo-European and Hattic peoples are a lot better documented in the region at the time.Preservedmoose (talk) 17:37, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- This is a straw man argument. The content you removed had nothing to do with the language they spoke. Pinging @Kober:, as i don't have much knowledge on the subject. The removal seems like WP:IJUSTDONTLIKEIT. Puduḫepa 17:52, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- Seconding Preservedmoose – why on earth should this nation be included in the Kartvelian peoples template? Looks like the same type of thinking that led the French to maintain that they're descended from Trojans, or Romanians to maintain that they're descended from Dacians – "hey, aren't we worthy to be descended from some edgy ancients? Of course we are!". 89.64.27.1 (talk) 14:44, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
