LGBT categories

I added LGBT categories that should have been added after the first episode aired. Besides what you can see with your own eyes, there are sources for them. As King James said, "seek, and ye shall find":

Genre

Wouldn't this be more accurately classified as "Fantasy" instead of "Drama"? Considering it is about "military combat witches" in a female-dominated world, that would be a more accurate description. Gil gosseyn (talk) 21:32, 15 February 2020 (UTC)

It's not just "drama" -- it's supernatural drama. If having reliable sources is what's holding you back from stating what the series obviously is, we make an effort to find the sources:

@Pyxis Solitary: FYI, I do watch the series. Additional genres need to be sourced. We cannot add additional genres without reliable sources otherwise, that would be considered WP:OR. For all we, people could even claimed this is as romantic drama as there are some romance going in the series. — YoungForever^(talk) 08:41, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

And as I stated in my above-comment: "If having reliable sources is what's holding you back from stating what the series obviously is, we make an effort to find the sources." -- I included three reliable sources in my comment that were published before the premiere on March 18 that describe the series as supernatural. I added the genre on 14 April 2020, almost four weeks after the series began. You created the page on 05 March 2019 and you say that you "do watch the series" ... well, by the time I added the genre you'd made 121 edits to the article; yet you never added the genre. YoungForever is absolutely correct – any genre needs to be sourced. If anyone has a reliable secondary source calling the show "supernatural", then that source needs to be included inline when the genre is added. This is straight out of WP:BURDEN. (And, FTR, this show is probably more "drama" than "supernatural", so it doesn't surprise me that the primary sources describe it that way.) Add: My guess is that there might be sources also calling this an "alt-history" series as well – the Deadline THR source comes very close to calling it that, and other sources may call it "alt-history". --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:07, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Actually, MOS:TVLEAD states "All genre classifications throughout the article, including in the lead, should be reliably sourced and comply with Wikipedia's due weight policy"; wherein WP:WEIGHT says "the views of tiny minorities should not be included at all".
The Variety (1) opinion writes "the self-righteous new Freeform drama makes the baffling decision to tell an alternate history in which witches negotiate an ending to their persecution" -- well ... duh! It's a fictional series, and its interpretation of witches in American history is called artistic license. And witches, witchcraft, and spell casting are considered magical practices attributed to the supernatural. Pyxis Solitary (yak). L not Q. 10:04, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you're arguing here, but my point was if multiple sources describe it as "alt history" then that can be added as a genre as well. I by no means did an exhaustive search on this, but Variety does call it that, and THR comes very close to also calling it that, which suggests that other sources may as well. Can someone please spare a moment to write up brief summaries/recaps of Episodes 6 to 9 of this great series? They've aired and latest episode sets the stage for an explosive season finale/cliffhanger that requires a second season.
