I tried my best to get this article started. I highly suggest someone more experienced add things to it. I'll try to verify the usability of the Mumble logo. --CCFreak2K 09:52, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does Mumble allow for normal SIP telephony (using a SIP account provider, to dial out into the "telephone-number-world"), or is it restricted to its own protocol? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.97.68.28 (talk) 13:23, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mumble is a centralized system, you connect to a server, and you stay there - Gunnar Guðvarðarson (My Talk) 02:54, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

questions i would like to get answeres to:

when was the initial mumble release, who have developed it. Was it open source from the beginning on or made after some ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.3.50.108 (talk) 21:46, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There's an initial release on the page now, so I'm assuming that question is outdated. I am 99% certain the rest is true, but I'll ask for changes to be made to the official wiki so that they can be cited here: original author was Thorvald Natvig (slicer @ sf.net), and I'm almost certain it was open-source from the beginning.fwaggle (talk) 00:47, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I added this section as it's a pretty big part of Mumble's appeal, IMHO. This is my first non-typo edit of WP so I'd appreciate folks being gentle when they point me in the direction of making better edits. :) Full-disclosure: I contribute to the Mumble project. fwaggle (talk) 00:47, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
