@Stitchbird2: I note that de Lange does not acknowledge the synonymy with M. australis on NZPCN. This suggests that M. mooreana is a true species. Has the thinking on the taxonomic status maybe changed since the 2020 paper was published? However, if this is a true synonym, shouldn't this page be changed to a redirect with the information subsumed into the article on M. australis? Hi, the NZPCN page for M. mooreana was last modified in 2011 and the M. australis page in 2008. I'm not sure why it hasn't been updated since then - I guess a good question to ask them? https://www.nzpcn.org.nz/contact-us/ The M. mooreana page was one of the first wikipedia pages I edited. If the page hadn't already existed, I would not have created it myself, as I consider it to be a synonym. I would be happy to move content from the M. mooreana page to the M. australis page and do a redirect (although I've never done a redirect before).
