Personnel
[edit]In the Personnel section, people are credited for "track 1" or "track 10", etc... but the tracks differ between Resonance Pt. 1 and Resonance Pt. 2. I'm not sure how we should deal with it but we sort of have to. --41matt14 (talk) 23:52, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
Added <Track listing is based on Resonance Pt. 2> to clear out confusion.Hiroctzen (talk) 05:16, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
Resonance (single)
[edit]I don't think the single Resonance should be included here since it's never included with the rest of the album. That can stand on its own page. - K-popguardian (talk) 19:30, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- @K-popguardian: I personally disagree. Resonance is the conclusion of the NCT 2020 Resonance project and a mashup of four tracks off the album. I think it belongs on the page. 41matt14 (talk) 04:50, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
I would agree if it featured on one of the albums but it didn't. If this were a page for NCT 2020 the group in general, I would say yes but this is about the albums. The single remains standalone. - K-popguardian (talk) 16:19, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
Move to mainspace
[edit]@Paper9oll: there's been clear consensus (additional discussion here and here) for some time now to merge the pt1+pt2 articles and publish this draft, but over a month later it's still sitting here. I am unfamiliar with the processes involved so perhaps you can get it moved into mainspace? I believe the 2 existing articles would need deleting and some redirects adjusted/created, or something like that? -- Carlobunnie (talk) 19:18, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Carlobunnie The draft is ready already just needed another Wikipedian with page mover rights or admin rights to move it.
@Nkon21 could you assist with this movement?(Strike off because movement has been done through request via WP:RM/TR by EN-Jungwon.) — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 03:34, 7 August 2021 (UTC)- I've processed the move request, and the two articles NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1 and NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 2 have been redirected to this page.
I believe normally we would need to preserve the history for the pages via a history merge or at least an attribution added somewhere in the history. A merge might be too messy here since there are multiple pages involved, or I'd consider tagging it. I might look into it more tomorrow.edit: Aha, I see there are tags here already, and the rcats are there too. Nevermind all that, and my maybe-unnecessary dummy edit. I should avoid late-night editing.04:20, 7 August 2021 (UTC) I've also modified Template:NCT (group) to reflect this as part of post-move cleanup (after a fair bit of stumbling around), so if anybody wants to check that they're happy with that, please feel free to change it. Infobox panel for Resonance
[edit]Hi all! I'm so happy to see the merge went through. I noticed though that although we more or less agreed the merged NCT 2020 Resonance page should include the digital single RESONANCE, there's no information on it in the infobox. I'm not sure if it would be appropriate either. If it is, it does have its own cover art we could add. Does that make sense or should we keep it as is? 41matt14 (talk) 22:42, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- @41matt14: we don't need to add cover art for the single as the page is about the album as a whole. If the song is notable enough on its own then a separate article could be created for it and the artwork uploaded to that. Idk anything about NCT but if the single was included on either part 1 or part 2 (I don't remember what the tracklists look like hence my saying "if") then yes it can be mentioned in the article with whatever appropriate secondary sources about its release/composition etc. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 02:43, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Carlobunnie: Thanks for the response! Everything you said makes sense. What doesn't make sense is the single RESONANCE. It's a combination of five? Six? songs off both parts of the album, with original content. It's not a mash-up but it essentially is. When we had some agreement to add it to the combined page (the page becoming more about the NCT 2020 Resonance project overall rather than either part individually), I added it to the track listing section, on its own. RESONANCE was supposed to represent the culmination of the NCT 2020 Resonance project, which is why I'm not sure exactly how it might fit into the infobox panel. 41matt14 (talk) 02:49, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- @41matt14: maybe you could try the NCT talk page (or the discography talk page) where more NCT-related editors would be active, if you don't get any other responses here. The WP:KO talk page generally has a fair amount of activity all the time and someone might be able to provide a more satisfactory answer than mine. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 03:01, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
