Next Game[edit]

I deleted the section "Next Game" as it was merely guesswork. There has been no confirmation on what will be the next game. (HowIFeel 15:17, 2 February 2009 (UTC))

I deleted the "Succeeded by" box as there is no proof. Lil.chocoholic.62 (talk) 07:23, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Phone friends: Sonny Joon[edit]

Correct me if I am wrong, but there is no proof as yet that Sonny will definitely be a phone character, so I deleted that. Lil.chocoholic.62 (talk) 07:27, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, you're right. There's evidence so far that Sonny Joon is a phone friend, so I have deleted it as well. (HowIFeel 08:29, 4 June 2009 (UTC))

Content[edit]

I deleted almost all of the content. Most of it wasn't verifiable and none of it was sourced. Also, a lot of it took on the "Advertisement" theme. I believe there might have been some spoilers that were not marked, too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.32.247.78 (talk) 21:38, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Content[edit]

I put the content back. I would like to add that pretty much every sentence that I, personally, have added, which is almost every single one, I have taken directly from a newsletter, press release, trailer, blog, or other such official source released by HeR Interactive. Since I am not an expert Wikipedia-er, I have not sourced this reputable info directly next to where I have added it; instead, I have merely added the source to External Links. You will see that there are quite a few. If, because of this, there is some sort of formatting error, please take the liberty of reorganizing the links etc. PLEASE DO NOT DELETE ALL OF THE INFO, as you have done before! Please!!! It has taken me a while to amass all of this, and it makes me feel awful to see it all deleted. I'll admit that it might sound pretty advertisement-y, but that's because it's all taken directly from HeR Interactive, who of course want people to buy their game. But that's the price you have to pay for credible information, right?

I'd like to add that I am not responsible for any "Mystery of the Fire Dragon" or "Cooper Malini" stuff, which is the real hogwash that's not verifiable or sourced. I use my best efforts to keep that speculation out, but it doesn't always work.

And I would say that none of this contains spoilers, as it simply COULDN'T because the game hasn't even come out yet. A spoiler would be like saying the name of the culprit, or the answer to a puzzle, none of which has been added. This page was created for the people--the people who love Nancy Drew and would like to be updated on new developments--and I think we all need to remember that. I guess I'm just asking that you don't delete the page again.

Sorry for the rant, but I hope you read it. Bob o'clock (talk) 21:42, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I get what your saying, but for one, having have an advertisementy feel is against wikipedia's rules. I didn't read the plot, because I don't want to spoil the game, but I thought it might have spoilers in. I guess I was wrong, sorry. btw, if you want to find the stuff you wrote, click on the history page.

Thanks. I would be happy to change some of the wording so it didn't come off as propaganda, but some people have different ideas, by which I mean they just decide to delete pretty much the whole page. Excuse me, but this constitutes PAGE BLANKING, a form of VANDALISM, and doing this comprimises Wikipedia's integrity as a good source of information. THIS is page blanking:
Removing all or significant parts of a page's content without any reason, or replacing entire pages with nonsense. Sometimes referenced information or important verifiable references are deleted with no valid reason(s) given in the summary.
And THIS is what these people are doing. They are purposefully trying to make an article less informative, which hurts other people who are actually interested in the content. You can bet that those page blankers are not Nancy Drew fans--they're just self-righteous people who think that they can do whatever they want without checking the sources cited for the information. PLEASE STOP THE MASSIVE PAGE DELETIONS!!! THEY ARE WRONG!!!! Bob o'clock (talk) 12:33, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am the page blanker. and I do have a reason. I already went over that. so I am completely following the rules. and btw, I LOVE the Nancy Drew games. but, the content that was on this page is completely against the rules. sorry.

by the way, thank you for trying to improve this page. :D it is hard to follow all of wikipedia's rules. (I'm the same person as above, my IP address changed)

My little page blanking rant wasn't directed at you at all, it was directed at people like Andrewrp and Eugene Krabs who reverted back to the page blanking without even attempting to explain, and without have really ever done anything for the page before. I vaguely understand where YOU are coming from, but I definitely disagree with most of your reasoning. Couldn't you try and reword some of it without deleting it all? I do appreciate your attempts to keep that Malini stuff off the page though. But I really tried this time to add my sources in correctly and delete advertisementy stuff. Could you tell me what I am doing wrong so that I can fix it but still keep the information on the page? Bob o'clock (talk) 18:26, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

one of the problems is that all of the content is sorta talking to the reader. that's not how encyclopedias usually work. btw, why the other people reverted back the content was for essentially the same reason I did, I think.

Ok, if I keep working on deleting the advertisementy feel, talking to the user feel, and add lots of sources, would I be able to add the page again? I mean, if I seriously overhauled it and reworded all of that stuff? Bob o'clock (talk) 23:54, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yep! :D
71.32.249.201 (talk) 19:57, 12 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much for all of your help. I'll start reworking it in my spare time. But wait! Someone has added the Mystery of the Fire Dragon to the page again! *runs off to edit* If that person reads this, please know that you should stop adding speculation. Thanks! Bob o'clock (talk) 17:19, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

you're welcome, and thank you for getting rid of the speculation.

Plot[edit]

I have added the plot, as it has NO spoilers, and at this stage I think it's alright to have the plot of the game on the page as the company has released that information. (HowIFeel 14:28, 7 June 2009 (UTC)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Happychick13 (talkcontribs)

Content Again[edit]

I added back the content, but put the sources with the info, and deleted a lot of the advertisement-y feel. I added another screenshot.Bob o'clock (talk) 22:04, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
