Main source

[edit]

Source number one seems to provide the majority of the information for this article. But when I look at that site, I can't figure out if it meets WP:RS. It says that it was transcribed and translated from somewhere else, but I don't know where that somewhere else is. Is this from a scholarly book? Or is this a personal journal/blog? Transcribd and translated from book "Nammoora Yaksharu" (roughly means "Yakshagana artists of our place") which is a book in Kannada language written by K.S.Upadhyaya and I am confident it meets WP:RS. But this Kannada book is not available on line in Google Books.Rayabhari (talk) 12:29, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but in that case, we should reference the book, not a web-site that transcribed it. A book doesn't have to be online to reference it. Instead, use the "cite book" template and provide all of the standard info--publisher, author, year of publication, and title. Qwyrxian (talk) 15:38, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
