[edit]

this is called "Murukkan" in Kerala. it is so common in most parts of Kerala(Malabar/Malwari). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.93.2.54 (talk) 14:31, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that's right: Murukkan seems to be Betel, not tobacco. --Slashme (talk) 09:26, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

this is naswai, or насвай in Central Asia .

[edit]

there is a Russian language article in WP under that term. please make the link since this article here is not editable. Also the production process is roughly the same for the smokeless tobacco snus from Sweden. Naswai is very common in Central Asia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.84.174.248 (talk) 17:45, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the links and information to the snus article, including adding the urdu Niswar article link, and comments on worldbank report showing the effect of increasing mouth and throat cancer. The Russian Насвай article is fairly detailed as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.84.174.248 (talk) 18:19, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
