Notability Thoughts[edit]

This is a fairly informative, well-written article on a potentially important topic. Deleting this article would be a loss to Wikipedia. A quick google shows nearly twenty thousand hits. Any thoughts? Nave.notnilc (talk) 02:22, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Verification?[edit]

I see this in the top 100 longest pages on the Interlingua wikipedia, but... I've never heard of it and there's nothing but first-party sources. Can anyone confirm anything about this? Almafeta (talk) 03:04, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's very real, Freaknet is quite a reputable source also. I do realize there is a lack of third-party sources however the youth and technical nature of the project contributes to this. I will attempt to cite some verifiable references.

It appears to be real to me. It is possible, current hardware permits it and much of that hardware already exists and is underused. Given the amount of information on the website and after reading some of it i think its a bunch of people collaborating on something crazy that if it works has a certain chance of making it into history books one day. If they can deliver a working software, people will use it, for example in urban areas where people live in a high density and have a lot of high powered wireless routers. I would say for now lets just wait for a while, if the website stops being updated for a while this article can be deleted, when the first version of their software gets published we will know for sure. Even if its a hoax, someone might pick up that idea and turn it into reality, so i wouldnt care so much about deleting it while the topic is so hot and changing so quickly.
