[edit]"As of 2006, Wesley Snipes has welcomed the idea of a sequel to New Jack City, in which the character he played, Nino Brown, is an older and wiser person"
Given the ending of the film how does that work? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.84.4.252 (talk • contribs) 09:29, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
You saw him get shot, but that's all, he didn't die in the movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.100.181.142 (talk • contribs) 10:46, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
He was shot 3 or 4 times and fell about 6 stories, landing on a marble floor. I think we can assume he died from both of those acts, unless they're trying to resurrect him in "Halloween"-like fashion.--Kp.murphy (talk) 15:32, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
I think we can assume ITS A MOVIE!!!!! AND WHETHER HE LIVED OR DIED IS THE SUBJECTIVE DECISION OF SCREENWRITERS!!!! AND BULLETS CAN MISS VITAL PARTS OF A BODY. Marc S. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 14:52, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
Yuck Mouth and Seagram Miller (rappers from Oakland, CA) states (anyone know the title of the song?) that Nino Brown is modeled after notorious Oakland hustler Felix Mitchell (also connected with Freeway Rick). The Carter is also mirrored by "The 69 Ville" projects of East Oakland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felix_Mitchell — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.104.69.113 (talk • contribs) 21:02, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
Nino's house
[edit]This might or might not be relevant to the article. But maybe somebody can answer a question for me. In the movie, Nino lives in a big house with a dining room with a vaulted ceiling, and a movie projection room, and an indoor pool. What part of New York City is this? Considering he's a drug dealer from the inner city, where is he living? Where would this house be? The Bronx? City island? Long Island? Queens? I dont know. Seems he would bring too much attention to himself going into a wealthy neighborhood, full of new homes. Marc S. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 14:50, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

Why the name "New Jack City"?
[edit]The article says "Cooper's rewrite was adapted from his December 1987 The Village Voice cover story entitled "Kids Killing Kids: New Jack City Eats Its Young," about the drug war in Detroit." What does "New Jack City" mean in either case? SSSheridan (talk) 11:13, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
