Split article between court system vs. the historic building
[edit]Eventually it will be worthwhile to split the article into one on the court system and one on the building. doncram 08:33, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Bad article
[edit]This article is badly written, and has nonsensical and contradictory statements. It needs a major clean-up and factual corrections. For example, this is NOT a statewide court. The article seems to mix up the New York City/County court with other counties surrogate courts and says it has statewide jurisdiction in the opening paragraph. The latter seems to be nonsense. - Yes, it was a real mess, conflating three separate topics. The Orphans Court section, which has nothing to do with New York, has been moved to Probate court, and the Manhattan building now has its own article. Station1 (talk) 01:46, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
