A fact from Ninanajna appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 14 November 2006. The text of the entry was as follows:
|
Foreign Yugoslavic Macedonian
[edit]What is "Foreign Yugoslavic Macedonian"? Is that really the language the song was sung in? Sounds like some concoction of a Greek extreme nationalist. If it is such a nationalist concoction, the phrase should be replaced by "Macedonian".
- An anonymous editor inserted that text and it's since been reverted. That said, just because the language was wrong doesn't give you the right to blank the page. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 07:25, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
I didn't blank the page - at least not intentionally. I don't know how to do it.
- My apologies, I mistook you for another user. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 07:35, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
The UN decided that the name of this country is FOREIGN YUGOSLAVIC REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA so th enoun is foreign yugoslavic macedonian or (yugo)slavic macedonian IF YOU SAY MACEDONIAN YOU GO AGAINST THE DECISIONS TAKEN BY THE MOST NATIONS AND COUNTRIES IN UN SO U ARE THE EXTREME NATIONALIST
WAITING FOR A CHANGE OF THE ARTICLE CAUSE I THOUGHT WIKIPEDIA IS A LEGAL SITE THAT RESPECTED THE UN
- The country is known as the "Republic of Macedonia" or the "Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", not the "Foreign Yugoslavic Republic of Macedonia". The adjectival form of the name (or the language) is in fact "Macedonian", regardless of whatever adjectives you want to put in front of the country's name. Or are people from the "United States of America" actually "United States of Americ"? BigHaz - Schreit mich an 07:35, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
