Is it "Pelladutha" or "Pelladatha"? - the articles uses both. DH85868993 (talk) 03:48, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Or "Pelladuta", as the article is now titled. DH85868993 (talk) 12:14, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's "Pelladatha", clearly the most widely used including its imdb page. I tried moving it to Ninne Pelladatha but it cannot be moved manually. regards, DRAGON BOOSTER 12:33, 18 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]
its right spelling. Imdb is not a standard. I will edit imbd. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nagarjuna198 (talkcontribs)
Which one do you believe is the correct spelling? DH85868993 (talk) 13:15, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
please check the transliteration of నిన్నే పెళ్ళాడతా. He doesnt seem to know the language, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nagarjuna198 (talkcontribs)
I don't know the language either - can you please clarify what you believe the correct spelling to be? Also, please sign your comments with ~~~~ DH85868993 (talk) 13:30, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

wht link did u just post? its a 1968 movie. DRAGON BOOSTER 13:42, 18 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]
So what its Telugu movie with same name.Nagarjuna198 (talk)
For deciding on an article title, it should have characteristics like "Recognizability" and "Naturalness ", means Titles should be recognizable and readers should be readers are likely to look for or search with and editors should be able to link from other articles. Such titles usually convey what the subject is actually called in English. The spelling "Pelladatha", clearly the most widely used one. And also considering the transliteration of నిన్నే పెళ్ళాడతా, the title should be "Pelladatha" or "Pelladata" but could not be "Pelladuta", which is the current title. Like I said I am fine with Ninne Pelladata or Ninne Pelladuta. But its definitely NOT PelladaTHA or PelladuTHA. In telugu త-ta, థ-tha, ద-da, ధ-dha and hence Dh and Th are used when there is stress on the letter. Telugu Readers are going to search with Ninne Pelladata or Ninne Pelladuta. I feel that you are pushing Tamil POV. Since you are also OK with "Ninne Pelladata" I will change it to "Ninne Pelladata". Nagarjuna198 (talk)

@Nagarjuna198, as already explained to you at my talk page thats not how we decide spellings of the articles here. You need to show reference of the spelling you are proposing with respect to this and only this film. No other films, no normal spellings, no non-reliable sources including IMDb will work. Same applies for the film Shubha Lagnam.
Also sign yourself with four tildes ~~~~ and not just three. Fourth one adds date and time. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 22:30, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The "Pelladatha" has got more references than the rest of the 'variations'. This is clearly and most widely known used spelling which possess the Recognizability characteristic to be the article title. DRAGON BOOSTER 03:20, 22 July 2012 (UTC).[reply]
