School site in DerngateSpinney Hill (talk) 14:56, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Is there a source for the following:

"The Mackintosh house came into use only in the 1980s as an overflow for sixth form classes - history in the dining room, maths in the upstairs bedroom. Classes were often interrupted by private tours of the house. The school had also owned Eagle House, between Towerfield and the main school, but this was demolished in the 1970s as the structure was unstable. The school campus included a formal entrance hall and library facing onto Derngate, with a gymnasium and assembly hall stretching back into the gardens; the science block which backed onto Albion Place; the art block and dining halls (the Cripps Block, named for Sir Humphrey Cyril Cripps, who financed its construction) at the Victoria Promenade edge of the campus, and four mobile classrooms. The school also owned Springhill on Cliftonville which housed the junior section of the school, from Kindergarten to Second Form (Year 4), from 1947 onwards.

The site was sold for a housing development with the school moving to new premises at its present location in 1992."

I believe that your recollections are likely to be correct but unfortunately that is not good enough as far as Wikipedia is concerned. There has to be a printed or reliable internet source. In this case such a source would most likely be a book or press reports. A school magazine might do. I know because there are things I would like to have added to other articles but have been unab;le to do so.Spinney Hill (talk) 14:54, 26 May 2020 (UTC) That's why this section and others were removed by somebody else.Spinney Hill (talk) 15:02, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
