Written like and advertisement
[edit]The Article about Nova School of Business and Economics reads like an advertisement. Here are some excerpts, followed by recommendation to improve the page.
"Nova SBE is on the list of the 30 best business schools in Europe[...]" - This is not followed by any source. Overall, a statement as broad as this shouldn't be on here. How is "best" defined?
"A member of the CEMS Alliance since December 2007, it is the only university in the country that offers the renowned CEMS Master in Management, which is ranked 8th in the world by the Financial Times Ranking." - The part saying that it's the only member university in Portugal should be deleted, as that's normal for the CEMS Alliance. They don't have any country with more than one member. Additionally, the link to the source does not work. The sentence should be rewritten to this: "Nova SBE is a member of the CEMS Alliance since December 2007".
"Furthermore, Nova SBE is also a member of the restricted group of Triple Crown world schools, which implies accreditation by EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB, and is the only Portuguese school classified by Eduniversal as "Universal Business School" with five Eduniversal Palms placing the school within the best 1% of world's leading business schools." - again, a ranking doesn't imply, that it's one of the "best" business schools. It simply means that it's high in a ranking. "Best" could be replaced by "prestigious", as this term is more proven by the rankings. Additionally, "restricted group" is implied and "Furthermore" makes this whole part sound like an advertisement. I would rewrite to "Nova SBE holds the triple accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS).".
Overall, I would refrain from naming any rankings in the opening paragraph. Instead, a table with ranking by year should be added in the article. Here's an example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HEC_Paris.
The "Nova SBE in Numbers" section reads like an advertisement without any sources. I would delete this.
The programs section is missing master programs, such as the "International Master's in Finance" and the "International Master's in Management". See https://www.novasbe.unl.pt/en/programs/masters
The sections "Student Organizations", "The Carcavelos Campus", and "The Fundraising Campaign" cite no sources.
Apart from the last sentence, the entire "The Carcavelos Campus" section reads like an advertisement and should be rewritten from a more neutral view.
Lastly, the current dean is not Daniel Traça, but Pedro Oliveira. See: https://www.novasbe.unl.pt/en/about-us/governance NiJoPi (talk) 10:58, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
