"Nuraghes appeared on the island in an undetermined epoch (not earlier than 6th millennium BC)."

Any particular reason the original author has stated they're not earlier than this? [1040Z 2006 OCT 25] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.35.44.159 (talk) 06:36, October 25, 2006 (UTC)

Alternate theories?

[edit]

I've heard many alternate theories about the origin and purpose of the nuraghes, some more fantastic, some less, like survivors from atlantis built them? Maybe it would be prudent to include them for the sake of comprehensiveness, in case other researches agree that they are mention-worthy Capricornis (talk) 23:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They may have been granaries? [1] -- œ 21:27, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Buildings

[edit]

Can these be identified please: "Israelian El Awhat" and "Corse Towers".--Finn Bjørklid (talk) 22:19, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The first is misspelled, "El Ahwat" is right: http://ahwat.haifa.ac.il/
The Corsican Towers seem to have been built after the 14th century (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martello_tower#Origins ), but the complex: "Nuraghe" + "El Ahwat" + "Corsica" is a pet theme if you mean the Shardana of Ramses III must have been Sardinians. 194.174.73.33 (talk) 19:21, 4 January 2014 (UTC) Marco Pagliero Berlin[reply]
