Twentieth century section errors[edit]

I came across an error in the article in the Twentieth Century Section

It states "In 1980 the former Sugar Mill was purchased by the firm J. C. Hutton and Co."

This is incorrect. The site was used for many years before 1980, and it appears that your source has a misprint

https://dictionaryofsydney.org/place/canterbury_sugarworks states that JC Hutton & Co owned the site from 1908-1982.

So, it appears that the original source should be 1908 and NOT 1980.

This is supported by the statement "In 1950 the killing licence expired". This suggests that Huttons must have been there before 1950.

A search at Trove: https://trove.nla.gov.au/search?keyword=huttons%20canterbury also shows multiple articles that mention Huttons at Canterbury before 1980, eg
