[edit]

I had made the following addition to the Connections to Previous Episodes section that was later removed:

Watch tells Al over the phone that it's not the Guild's problem when an arch is terminated by a third party. This implies that the Order of the Triad's archenemy, Torrid, has been killed, possibly by the Outrider as revenge for his ruse in The Better Man.

This was removed because it was believed that Watch was talking to a different caller at first and then he switched over to Al to give his explanation of the "Rusty Venture" maneuver. Going over Watch's dialogue leads me to believe that he was only speaking with Al for the entire conversation:

"You?! I told you! When your arch is terminated by a third party it's not our problem. A what? Of course I do it's when you..."

Watch's greeting of "you?!" implies that he recognized Al's voice from previous phone conversations during which he mostly likely complained about losing his arch. So Watch goes straight into his explanation of Guild protocol before giving Al a chance to give his current reason for calling. Eventually, Al gets to say he's not calling about his arch, but about what a "Rusty Venture" is. This causes Watch to say, "A what?" and then continue on with his version of the Rusty Venture. There is no significant break or obvious switch between callers between the arch termination portion of the conversation and the "Rusty Venture" part. This leads me to believe Watch was only talking with Al the entire time.

Any thoughts on the validity of this addition?

I actually didn't catch that, and I was trying to figure it out, but it fits. I'd say add it as a reference to a previous episode. 216.136.4.136 (talk) 15:39, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sky Pilot?

[edit]

Weren't he and Shore Leave going by "Sky Pilot" and "Holy Diver" when they were undercover pretending to be Christians? I thought his name was supposed to actually be "Mile High"? Was something changed or is this an error on Eric Hammer and Jackson Publick's part? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.79.241.23 (talk) 08:44, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's his "born again" name 216.136.4.136 (talk) 15:39, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's a possible goof up that Sky Pilot didn't revert to his old handle the way Holy Diver went back to Shore Leave. Maybe Sky Pilot sounded like a more appealing name so Jackson and Doc decided to stick with it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.65.11.68 (talk) 19:00, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Venereal Disease

[edit]

I don't know if anyone noticed or if it's something worth placing somewhere in the article (or maybe in Hatred's article), but Sgt. Hatred tattooed a V in his face and removed all the HARTRED letters save the D. Now his tattoo reads "V D", with the D being around his genitalia.--20-dude (talk) 04:05, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No mention on the resolution of 24?

[edit]

Probably the most important part of the episode is not discussed: what happened to 24. Is this omitted for a reason, or just an oversight? One of the he most touching scenes in the entire series.
