First name
[edit]Concerning the origin of Opie Taylor's first name, it was suggested by a caller to Henry Bogan's talk show on WSB, Atlanta that the character was given the birth name Oliver Paul or O. P. for short. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.158.216.120 (talk) 20:44, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
I always imagined that his birth name was Oscar Peterson (also O. P. for short) because Andy was a music lover. Pacific1982 (talk) 16:30, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
I thought his name might be Opus, Opie for short. Otherwise, it would have been spelled, O.P..—Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.164.103.25 (talk) 03:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Please note the high degree of unnoticed vandalism on this page. Notably all the 'love interests' of all the male characters have been renamed to men. I am reverting this provided I can find an appropriate reversion. Real mature.
