This article is in need of a lot of updating. The species has spread and infested thousands more acres since this article last received an update. It has also been re-categorized taxonomically as Oplismenus undulatifolius. Efforts to contain or eradicate from parks in Maryland and Virginia have been largely unsuccessful, though finding a references will be tricky. Becoming one of the most talked about invasive plants in the US Mid-Atlantic states, and yet funding issues have slowed the pace of new research and publications. --MCEllis (talk) 23:29, 19 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
