Oryctodromeus: Burrowers or borrowers?
[edit]It's common for non-burrow-makers to live in burrows made by others. While it doesn't appear that it was impossible for Oryctodromeus to have constructed the burrows with which it was associated, is there any other candidate for digging them? (For example, a Cimolodont would appear a likely suspect.) -- Writtenonsand 17:10, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- The dimensions fit the body of the adult pretty well. Were there any cimolodonts big enough in the Cenomanian to make a similarly-sized hole? J. Spencer 17:59, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- If Oryctodromeus can dig on its own, then its hands must be able pronate, probably in a lizard-like pose at least, where it could dig like how lizards do.184.186.4.209 (talk) 21:56, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
- Not necessarily, it could reach the same hand pose by splaying it arms. FunkMonk (talk) 10:10, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
