How can I find out if my ancestors are buried here

William Makepeace Thackeray

I have cleared up a confusion here; the monument is not to the novelist who died in 1863 but to a namesake uncle who died in 1849 and was buried at Chester Cathedral, according to details given in the linked citation itself. I have seen this monument in past visits to the cemetery but a check in the Dictionary of National Biography, comparing the birth-death dates, showed the man was not the same as the novelistCloptonson (talk) 21:09, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
