9th highest wetland

[edit]

@Yintan: The reference for being the 9th highest wetland in the world used to be given on namastesindhupalchowk.com (archived here). This source may be arguable for several reasons. But now, this piece of information lacks any source (and I doubt whether it's true at all – there are many lakes in the world at more than 6,000 meters altitude). What shall we do? --Kuhni74 (talk) 12:34, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The source namastesindhupalchowk.com was obviously confused by the fact that there are 9 major high-altitude wetlands in Nepal, 4 of which are part of the Ramsar list (Panch Pokhari being none of the 9). I modified the passage with a presumably reasonably good source. Unfortunately, there are dozens of (rather touristic) websites claiming that it is the 9th highest wetland. This legend will hardly be repaired any more... --Kuhni74 (talk) 14:01, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
