Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the original article, mostly now gutted as "crap" by the editor making this request, indicated the historical nature of the property. That editor's view of the compass of the article is an extremely narrow one, with which I disagree. Buildings on the cemetery property, e.g., are relevant to the article. Off-topic information (biographies and family history) about the former owner of the property are not relevant to an article about the company. There was no indication of any historic significance of the building or the cemetery.
However, I noticed that there is a redirect from Wilkins Estate to this article. It may be that the Wilkins Estate is notable under its own right, whether or not the cemetery that now operates on its grounds is notable. Perhaps that redirect should be expanded to an article itself. The Dissident Aggressor 18:32, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This appears to the source of your confusion. The article is not talking about a company per se, but rather a facility, which is different. Though there is notability to the Wilkins Estate, a common practice in Wikipedia is that the current institution using a facility be the one listed. This can be seen in a number of entries. I agree that the Wilkins Estate is notable and have created the article about that. The Dissident Aggressor 21:06, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
