spelling?
[edit]Re amalgamating Pasagians and Passagianism, I presume that Pasagians and Passagians are the same, but do not know which is the correct spelling. Hugo999 (talk) 00:48, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Apparently both spellings are in use, with the double s a little more common. The book used as a source at Pasagians uses the spelling with one s, while other books use the other. At Google Scholar, "Passagians" and "Passagini" outperform "Pasagians" and "Pasagini", but the latter spellings are also used. The Summa contra haereticos gives quite a variety of spellings. "Passagianism", on the other hand, generates not a single Google Scholar hit (neither does "Pasagianism"). My suggestion would be to move the "Pasagians" article, which is in better shape than this one, to "Passagians", to note the alternative spelling in the moved article, and to thurn this one into a redirect. The Summa paragraph from this article should probably be merged. Huon (talk) 01:29, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- I would use the double s spelling, per Huon. However, I would choose this article to be the destination of the merge. Movements, and not the members of movements, seem to be article titles. See Arians redirecting to Arianism. carl bunderson (talk) (contributions) 02:51, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
