Clarification[edit]

The article says he was a "pivotal figure in the history of Kathakali" but what is it he actually did? What field was he involved in? RJFJR (talk) 00:15, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

One wonders how the notability of this article's subject is in question. For all its listed faults, the page unequivocally makes it clear that Pattikkamthodi Ravunni Menon is a PIVOTAL figure in the recent history of Kathakali. His professional profile, the reputation of the institute (Kerala Kalamandalam) he served, and the eminence of his array of disciples prove beyond doubt that Pattikkamthodi is a major personality in the case of this classical dance-drama from Kerala. Questioning his notability is like asking how notable a figure Mahatma Gandhi is in India's freedom struggle or how big William Shakespere is as a playwright. Or, like, what's Don Bradman's notability in cricket or Karl Marx's contribution to Communism. Well, rest is up to you bosses.
