Why was this man given an article in Wikipedia???

[edit]

I just read the Wiki article about the artist Martin Engelman. I see nothing in this article that meets the Wiki criteria for inclusion. No mention of his work being covered in periodicals, no mention of his work being in permanent collections, no mention of his work being exhibited. What gives, guys? In fact, the article includes only two sentences about his art, one about him getting a job as a graphic designer, and, here's the other one: "His first signed works are registered from 1953." It is entirely possible that Martin Engelman is not notable and that the article should be deleted, but that is no reason to accept yours? See other stuff exists. Theroadislong (talk) 17:43, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't say it was a reason to accept mine. I'm just wondering why I'm being singled out for exclusion when such a demonstrably POOR article has been accepted?
I've already included proof that Paul's art is represented in the permanent collections of several reputable and important museums. Before I could even add the references to these museums, which I did immediately after listing the museums, one of you had swooped in and petulantly derided me for "not including references." Do you people not have anything better to do with your time than swooping around finding people to criticize?
Now I'm about to enter a long list of examples of Paul enjoying "significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject...." I'm including the list here, before adding it to the aarticle's bibliography so that you people are certain to see it and give us credit for it:
