Talk:Peak envelope power
Appearance
First Intro Sentence
[edit]Power is not measured in RMS. RMS is applied to a voltage or current waveform to allow power calculations and comparisons. The average power is = Vrms x Irms. I know that some people say "RMS power" but that is incorrect. -- Steve -- (talk) 19:46, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

- First you need to ask the person using that term what they mean by it.
- What kind of drawing are you thinking would help? You take the RMS voltage and current and multiply them at a sound peak.
- If you have a true reading power meter, read it at a sound peak.
- The distinction here may be the way it is distinguished from peak instantaneous power. That would be peak instantaneous voltage times peak instantaneous current. -- Steve -- (talk) 23:26, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
