Watkin Tench

[edit]

"named after Captain Watkin Tench, who was the first settler to see the Blue Mountains when he stood atop Prospect Hill in 1789."

Tench was not a settler but a Captain-Lieutenant of Marines. He was not the first European to see the Blue Mountains as an earlier expedition led by Governor Philip had seen them in April 1788.

Under the Transport heading Reconciliation Drive should read Reconciliation Road.

I will make these changes soon if no-one comments here. Spathaky (talk) 04:14, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
