Birth year

Hi Bhuyquang1. There're 2 sources in the article stating that Phi Nhung was born in 1970. Why did you change her birth year to 1972? ３ ▪ １４ 12:45, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nguyenhai314 the VOV article that was cited the 10 April 1970 as the birthday has since changed it to 1972 with her age being 49. This also seems consistent with older articles by VNA as well. Unfortunately known of the articles only would constitute a legitimate source. Waiting to see if any reputable US newspapers will pick up the story. The media is just guessing.

@Amerasianeditor: The media is not guessing, they are correcting their mistake. When Phi Nhung was hospitalized, her name appeared on the database about COVID-19 patients of Ho Chi Minh City. Check here. In the first compulsory field, you type "Phạm Phi Nhung" or "Phi Nhung"; in the second compulsory field (third field), you type "1970", then, enter the verification code and you'll get the result. The media started correcting her birthyear a month ago, see this article (10/04/1970). VNA was not the first website writed about her death. They were Tuoi Tre, which stated Nhung died at 51 ([1]) and Nguoilaodong ([2]). These are the earliest articles about her death. They shared the same opinion that she was born in 10 April 1970 and she died at 51. We (Vietnamese Wikipedia) also had a consensus to change her birthday from 1972 to 1970 here. ３ ▪ １４ 15:41, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
