First comment
[edit]Phulra and Nagar are two separate entities.
Nagar was a princely State in Gilgit-Baltistan, a vassal of Jammu and Kashmir. Nagar borders Hunza.
Phulra was more or less a jagir and it ceased to exist in 1947.
- You are correct that Nagar and Phulra were separate states, but some sources describe Phulra as being called Nagar Phulra or Nagir Phulra. However given the context it will only confuse people, so I have changed it to just Phulra. As for the date of extinction, Phulra and Amb were merged in 1950 into the North-West Frontier Province. The reason for the dates being incorrect is that I was typing in the early hours of the morning so my head may not have been completely clear :P Green Giant 20:34, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Move
[edit]I've been bold and moved this back to Phulra (princely state); it's in line with similar articles that way, and avoids confusion with any other entity by this name (which is a problem with a lot of the others). Moonraker12 (talk) 08:21, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
Rulers
[edit]Excuse me, I think that the list of rulers of Phulra (Khans) might not be correct please. I shall check and report. Regs, Khani100 (talk) 00:55, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Khani100
Dear Wiki editors/users, I have checked a couple of sources, including Griffin and Massey's ""Punjab Chiefs and Who's Who in the Hazara District, 1941-42 (ed) and to the best of my knowledge the list of the rulers/Khans of Phulra given in this article isnt correct Im sorry to say. The geneaologies given in the above sources list these chiefs as follows:
1. Khan Madad Khan (d. 1878) 2. Khan Abdullah Khan (d. 1888-89) 3. Khan Abdul Rahman Khan (d. 1897) 4. Khan Ata Muhammad Khan (prob. died c 1935)
In the list given in the article, except for Madad Khan, I dont see any resemblance between any of the subsequent names. Thus, the section is of rather dubious provenance. Could someone re-check and confirm or should I make the changes? Thank you, regs, 39.54.85.31 (talk) 01:12, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Khani100 (Khani100 (talk) 01:17, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Khani100)
Gentlemen, a further correction--sorry-- but Khan Ata Muhammad Khan died in 1935, and was succeeded by Khan Abdul Latif Khan. On checking the history of this article I see that the correct list was given there in 2011 but in January 2012 someone altered it and added these fictitious names. This change/revision was made by User:Hemz70, I wonder why? Khani100 (talk) 01:26, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Khani100
If it's ok, please Im making changes to fix this problem thanks. Khani100 (talk) 01:35, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Khani100
Don't add without references
[edit]Addition of text and statement without proper references always lead to making an entry confusing for readers. Ideally, this should be about : 1. State creation 2. Population 3. Languages and customs 4. Rulers and officers if any 5. Coordinates 6. Economy 7. Taxation system 8. Abolishment Who's born to which woman and trying to add oneself to the list if one is left makes the things not impressive and has negative impact on the overall theme of the easy also. This is just a Wikipedia page if some name is missed doesn't mean he would cease to exist in this world. Please, dont alter these pages without understanding the repercussion of your move, we have little details on KP. Regards Azmarai76 (talk) 17:55, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
