So what exactly DID happen in 2006?

[edit]

Anyone who was there? Anyone who can report? Not wikirelated, just curious. // Gargaj 18:00, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't there, but I've heard nothing about it. All I know is the Protocol 42 LANparty that was to host it ran as planned. Some sceners may have still showed up, I'm not sure. It appears Legalize has left the scene for the time being. --Vossanova o< 19:43, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was there. I'm not sure how appropriate it is to talk about what happened here on Wikipedia, because it isn't exactly notable. I really should blog it. But my blog is in a transitionary state, so I'll try to get that up. If you want to know, pester me (talk page)? I'll link the blog entry when I get it finished. Okay, my blog is in a transitionary state, but I've got a link to the blog, which has the text of the article telling my story of Pilgrimage 2006. McKay 17:15, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Jesus Henry Christ. This is worse than I expected. Seriously. Dude. If you ever wonder near a REAL party in Europe, feel free to ask me a free beer - someone has to compensate for this "demoparty" experience. Small joy, but Blockparty seems at least demoscenish to start with. // Gargaj 22:26, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. A sad ending, really, for everyone who got their hopes up and went, and especially for Acius. I hope this doesn't cause permanent contempt of the demoscene for you.. and I hope SparkArts is successful! --Vossanova o< 00:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, no contempt for the demoscene. I had a lot of fun at previous pilgrimages (and, I had fun at the LAN Party too, but for totally different reasons), but I imagine *real* demoparties are quite a bit different. I may attend a european demopary one of these years. Thanks for the invite. McKay 20:00, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have recieved corrected information from Adam after the post, so there is now a new verion available at my blog. McKay 20:50, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
