Peter Hernandez English Voiceover?

[edit]

'... Voice actor Peter Fernandez seems to dub half the male performers (you'll recognize his voice as the one behind Speed Racer and half the characters on that show), and it's pretty amazing work that's unfortunately undone by the familiarity of his vocal tones. ...' - http://www.mania.com/planet-vampires_article_29488.html

I noticed this immediately while watching Planet of the Vampires. I haven't found official confirmation anywhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MistySpock (talkcontribs) 05:21, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It is definitely Fernandez, and Jack Curtis as Capt. Salas. Both worked for Titra Studios in New York, who did most of the dubbing work for Italian films coming into the US market. Not confirmation, certainly, but it fits the general trend at the time.2603:7080:8040:EE00:0:0:0:2 (talk) 23:56, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Most Fashionable Award? (and other comments)

[edit]

OK, it's a low budget spaghetti sci-fi, but the costumes are really fashionable! Everyone is dressed in well tailored leather.

The walls of the space ships and the doors seem to be super thick. I wonder if that was to give the impression of super massive construction? The ship itself seems to be very large. I guess if you've got "atomic generators" it doesn't matter how massive your ship is.

In the opening scenes, the "techno-babble" is pretty creative. They use the word "parsec" as a unit of distance which is good. But they use it as if it were just a short distance. In fact, a parsec is about 6 light years. Later, the dialog is pretty normal though.

Since the dead are re-animated by the aliens, wouldn't a better title be "Planet of the Zombies"?

Also titled "Demon Planet"

[edit]

I saw this movie on TV approx. 1978-1980 under the title Demon Planet, but I haven't been able to find a reliable source that links that title to this movie, or I would add it to the article as an alternate title. Lee Choquette (talk) 20:45, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
