Digestion

[edit]

"making digestion of animal proteins especially casein found in dairy very difficult or even impossible see also the China Study"

People affected by PKU do not have digestion problems with animal proteins, but they are advised to avoid them as they are high in phenylalanines. They cannot metabolize the amino acid phenylalanine. I fail to see the link between 'the China study' and digestion of animal proteins being difficult or impossible.

The Main Part of the China Study

[edit]

Is the proof that animal proteins cause most of the major affluence diseases found in westernized countries around the world. What the article says here is solely that people with severe disease (affluence diseases like cancer, heart problems, stroke, Alzheimer's, diabetes, Morbus Crohn, Lupus, Parkinson's disease etc etc) cannot and should not eat animal proteins, and thus plant cream is an alternative they will chose for health reasons. PKU is just one example I add everywhere to raise awareness of that grave illness, which affects me and my "life" personally. All those diseases have in common that they are caused and/or worsened by animal proteins, and that is the main statement of the China Study. The China Study is one thing people who are severely sick definitely should read, and follow the advice. And one of such points is to replace the illness increasing and/or causing dairy cream with plant cream. Peacefuluser123456789 (talk) 04:24, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How about Coconut?

[edit]

Any ideas if Coconut milk would also fit in here? I do my CoYo (coconut yoghurt) with vegan probiotics.

Use of Disparaging Terminology

[edit]

This article currently contains terminology that could be considered biased against plant-based alternatives to milk-based products. Specifically, it includes the description and labels as "imitation", considered "disparaging" by Plant-Based Foods Association as noted at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plant_milk#United_States.
