Reader's Digest[edit]

Physically located in Chappaqua (along NY-117), just using the Pleasantville post office. Eddieuny 03:38, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page no longer deserves stub status. If you know how to remove stub status, please do so. I couldn't figure out how. Also, please feel free to correct the Reader's Digest wiki link in the History section. I tried and failed.

Sources for the History section include "A Village Between," by John E. Crandall; self-published; no publication date listed, but appears to have been published circa 1973. A copy is on file at the Pleasantville branch of the Mount Pleasant Library. "Pleasantville--300 Years: From Manor to Suburb, 1695-1995," by Dennis J. Corcoran, S. Martin Friedman, Carsten Johnson II, published by the Pleasantville Board of Trustees, 1995. A copy is on file at the Pleasantville branch of the Mount Pleasant Public Library. Information about the Jacob Burns Film Center is culled from the center's web site, listed among the External Links. Information on the local music festival is taken from the music festival's official web site, also listed among the External Links.Pville123 15:14, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there a photo of the Reader's Digest headquarters which are not actually in Pleasantville? --Pleasantville 00:20, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No one has provided a rationale for this picture in two years, so I have deleted it.Syzygos (talk) 05:35, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is with the 00401 zip code in Reader's Digest's Pleasantville return address? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.225.17.141 (talk) 20:50, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dick Rote[edit]

The following sentence was added to the history section by an anon editor. It might be appropriate to add it back if notability and connection with Pleasantville can be established.

Dick Rote was head football coach from 1969-2003, and retired with 191 wins. Rote is ranked 33 on the list of New York State high school football coach.

Nothing says "Pleasantville" like an emergency vehicle gallery![edit]

Well done, whoever. Well done. But is there some deeper reason for it? InedibleHulk (talk) 19:40, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how one person has a discussion. Or how "Well done" suggests "delete it". But OK. InedibleHulk (talk) 16:17, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
