Second picture[edit]
I don't think the second picture is correctly identified. I grow both P. hadiensis var. tomentosus from South Africa, and also have the second plant, collected in central Sri Lanka -which I haven't been able to identify. Leo Breman (talk) 21:51, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Actually, the first picture looks iffy as well. That looks like the plant that was sold in the USA as 'Vick's plant', another Plectranthus of uncertain provenance -it is probably P. coeruleus (not P coerulescens which is different), but this isn't certain. I think it was originally introduced by a US company called ... eh... I'll not advertise.
- @Leo Breman: Thanks for letting me know, I'll remove them then, as this image was what was given on the spanish wikipedia and I'm not an expert on plants. On closer inspection, it seems that the picture is labelled Plectranthus tomentosa which I didn't notice on the translation tool. Thanks, Pahunkat (talk) 13:35, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Pahunkat. Plectranthus names in horticulture are an incredible mess. I'll try to take a picture from my collection and upload it for this article, when there is more daylight. One of the plants flowered this year, I took pictures so I can upload those as well. The plant sold as 'Vick's plant' is very similar, and it is often identified as P. tomentosus, but if you look closely there are differences in the type of hairs on the leaf and the number of crenelations along the margin.
