article needs to be organized[edit]

The article was and still is in a mess. It needs major clean-up. I tried to organize some of the information. Abdur Rahim Popalzai needs a separate article. This article is not the right place to add his biography. The most we should do is link his name to a new article (after the article is created). Abdur Rahim Popalzai[edit]

Allamah Abdur Rahim Popalzai was a twentieth century freedom fighter. He was the great mufti of the Muslims of North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. He spent several years of his life in jail, struggling for the political and economic emancipation of the poor and downtrodden. A number of books have been published about his life and struggle, including those written or compiled by his grandson Dr. Abdul Jalil Popalzai, The Professor and Head of Pharmacology at Rehman Medical College, Peshawar (Hayatabad Phase V). Pakistan Television has telecasted a number of programmers in which reference is made to his struggle. An exclusive docudrama about his life was portrayed with the title of "Wafa Kay Paker Maulana Abdur Rahim Popalzai". One of his nephews, Mufti Shahab ud din Popalzai is nowadays the mufti at Darul Ifta Qasim Ali Khan Mosque of Peshawar.

  • I have done some minor tidying. I don't know enough about Abdur Rahim Popalzai to know whether there should be an article on him. I think it's up to you, Ketabtoon. AWhiteC (talk) 23:19, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
