[edit]There is a question about the copyright status of this article. Although to the best of my knowledge (it was years ago), I did not copy the information in the original version, there are doubts about it. I have therefore rewritten the article at User:Zoe/Porto-Novo. Could someone look it over and let me know if it's good enough to replace what is here? User:Zoe|(talk) 15:12, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

petroleum
[edit]Petroleum is made in the refinery and it can't be "discovered". Probably oil was discovered, instead. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.206.119.141 (talk • contribs) 15:17, 20 June 2006.
Petroleum is crude oil, it is what is DISCOVERED and gasoline or petrol is what's made with it, among other things. Arthurian Legend 19:56, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Explanation
[edit]Can someone explain why Porto Novo remains the de jure capital if even political functions are carried out of Cotonou? Arthurian Legend 19:53, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Bevölkerungsentwicklung
[edit]What the heck is Bevölkerungsentwicklung and why is there a German word buried in this Franco-African article? Corvus cornixtalk 04:49, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
British in 1861
[edit]It was in 1861, not 1863, that the British bombarded Porto Novo. 1863 was when the Kingdom accepted French protection. Infobox Image Change
[edit]Hi all, I am contemplating changing the Infobox image to one that more clearly depicts Porto Novo. The current picture is hard to make out. If anybody has any objections please do let me know. Thank You! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chickensarebleepssorryuncle (talk • contribs) 21:52, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
