Some comments[edit]

Galleries are generally discouraged since we now point to Commons (see WP:Galleries#Image_galleries). The photos should be placed in the article body if they are directly relevant to the text. Otherwise the user can go to Commons using the link provided. The USGS picture is redundant with coordinates and should probably be removed (the coordinates can be set pretty precisely to get the picture you want). "Notes" and "References" seems to be the preferred titles instead of "References" and Works cited", with "Works cited" being used mostly in author biographies, but this also seems to be one of thee hot button issues on Wikipedia. I have added a citation for the AZA list (and removed the now redundant See also link). I put it down in Reflist to show how citations can all be collected in one place. This is initially a bit tedious to do, but makes the text a lot easier to read when editing, and puts all the refs in a single location so they can be edited more easily. I can do the initial conversion to this method if you wish, or if you object, you can move the reference out of the Reflist template. I have made it multi-column, since there are quite a few citations already. There is a way to link the short citations to the references in the next section if you want to do that. You can see this in action at Bog turtle. Again, I can implement this if you wish. Donlammers (talk) 09:31, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. I updated the Reference section to incorporate some of the recommended changes. It appears that the multi-column Reference does not work on Internet Explorer, but does on other Web browsers, such as Firefox (I have noticed this on other Wiki pages as well). I will work to incorporate some of the photo gallery photos to the main body of the article. Dj1997 (talk) 02:08, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
