You did not do the categories, not done yet.

This article is a pure serbian propaganda

[edit]

1. It ignores the albanian history of the castle.
2. Illyria is not mentioned.
3. This castle is illyrian.
4. This article is a pure slavic propaganda.

This article is not serious.

Zoupan, do not delete the facts you don't like.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Theedardanian (talkcontribs)

@Theedardanian: There is no Albanian history of the fortress, nor was it Illyrian. You are not serious.--Zoupan 00:17, 11 July 2016 (UTC) Blocked sock:Ajdebre.[reply]
@Zoupan: This castle is illyrian/albanian. You are the one that is filled with slavic propaganda and deny everything you don't like. Stop abusing it. You and your hero Milosevic will fail again. What is your obsession with albanian history? Theedardanian (talk) 10:49, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You need to explain hos this castle is "illyrian/albanian". If you have sources, present them here. The fortress was first built in the 11th century by the Byzantines.--Zoupan 19:51, 11 July 2016 (UTC) Blocked sock:Ajdebre.[reply]
It isn't worth it. No matter what we say, no matter how much proof we bring here, you and your administrators will do whatever you agreed to do - which is to vandalize our history. Shame, an article is wikipedia cleary full of propaganda and backed by other anti-albanians can't change the reality. Long live our holy Dardania:) Theedardanian (talk) 11:40, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dusanov grad?

[edit]

I was certain that this site was never historically called Dušanov grad because it wasn't a grad (city) and if there was any medieval toponym in Serbo-Croatian, it would be gradina (fortified site). As WP:AGF, I left it in the name section in the context of a toponym that arose in modern Serbia but then WEBDuB readded it on the lead and added a source about it: Perica (1998). He writes: Two most ambitious building enterprises were undertaken in Kosovo. On November 29, 1990, after the holy liturgy, construction had begun at the historic site of the Holy Archangels monastery near Prizren - the “debt to God” and one-time monumental mausoleum-endowment of Emperor Dusan the Mighty (1331-1355). The site is known today as "Dusan's citadel" (Dusanov grad). This "alternative" name shouldn't even be in this article - let alone on the lead. Bibliography shouldn't be used at random whenever some keywords pop up on Google Books. Thank you.--Maleschreiber (talk) 15:58, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

And why not? It's per WP:RS. I'm sorry but you do not sound clear at all. Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 16:00, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Because it's saying that Dusanov grad/Dusangrad doesn't refer to the Prizren fortress, but to Višegrad (Bistrički).--Maleschreiber (talk) 16:18, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Verified it in primary sources too. Check Gopčević's Alt Serbien und Makedonien (1889): Südöstlich von Prizren erhebt sich oberhalb der Bistrica die Ruine eines Schlosses , welches von den Prizrenern Dušanov grad ( Dušans - Schloss ) genannt wird , aber eigentlich Višegrad ( Hochburg ) geheissen haben Southeast of Prizren are the ruins of a fort, which some people from Prizren have called Dušanov grad (Dušan's castle), but it is actually called Višegrad (stronghold). This very small discussion highlights some of the larger problems in the Balkans. People should first listen, study, examine the facts and then, only then act. WEBDuB was pushing for something that Serb writers 150 years ago clarified among themselves and yet this was put forward in wikipedia as a "fact". Can we from now on first examine the facts and then act? Višegrad (Bistrički) might become an interesting article, but you have to focus there instead of here in order to push for a toponym which this particular site never had.--Maleschreiber (talk) 16:23, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The term "grad" is often used in Serbian for a settlement within a fortress, and this name has been in the article for five years.--WEBDuB (talk) 09:05, 22 August 2020 (UTC) WP:STABLE[reply]
A discussion about WP:STABLE begins when there are conflicting accounts in bibliography. There is no problem with bibliography here - it confirms that this site was never called Dušanov grad and allows us to remove a 5-year-old OR which conflated these two sites. Thank you.--Maleschreiber (talk) 16:30, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That was the official name as the Immovable Cultural Heritage of Exceptional Importance. There is also the updated version by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Serbia. The reference has been standing for years, so far no one has had a problem. It is worrying that this deleting a part of Serbian history and adding maps, etc. occurs simultaneously with pressure, countless similar RfCs and RMs and nationalist WP:POVPUSH and WP:CFORK on Serb-related topics. I think we really need to return to a stable version before the situation on Balkan issues calms down. Indeed, I ask everyone to stop the edit war and start a civil discussion about any proposed change.--WEBDuB (talk) 15:40, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
What does any of it have to do with what I'm saying? If you think that archaeological maps about late antiquity sites in Kosovo are a problem and the removal of original research is "worrying" maybe you should use another site.--Maleschreiber (talk) 21:37, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
