Flag graphic
[edit]The flag which appears in the graphic appears to be that of the provisional government Louis Riel formed at Red River in 1869-1870, not to be confused with that formed at Batoche on March 19, 1885. The reading I've done indicates that the Provisional Government of Saskatchewan used a banner with the Virgin Mary on it which unfortunately has not survived. Note the flag in questions incorporation of Irish symbols which represents that element at Red River (they were lacking at Batoche). Unless I'm mistaken this flag was never used at Batoche, does anyone have evidence to the contrary? Wyldkat
Map graphic
[edit]Should the map on this article really be using a picture of modern Saskatchewan with its 1905 derived borders?
Shouldn't it be a map of the contemporaneous District of Saskatchewan? --142.229.115.117 (talk) 19:35, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
Provisional Government of Saskatchewan flag
[edit]Someone has downloaded this flag and captioned it the "Provisional Government of Saskatchewan flag" without any sources. Some call it the Fenian flag.
Maybe the flag should have a new caption. I have removed the flag from the page twice so far since the symbols on the flag appear to contain symbols and colour of another group (clover leaf, golden lyre and fleur de lis on a green background).
