The example given is horribly wrong.

Use 1/4,1/4,1/2 to get the final state S=[[1/2,0],[0,1/2]]

The POVM's given are not positive and they are not the results of the multiplication shown. E0 shown has a -ve eigenvalue. E0+E1+E2 do not sum to 1.

the example was indeed wrong, and doing the math right didn't result in particularly insightful operators. I removed the example and expanded a bit the section adding general considerations Luca (talk) 22:06, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
